Born in 1960 in Springside, a small mining village near Kilmarnock, Scotland, Alexander Millar grew up immersed in the traditional life of the 1960s. Self-taught, he developed his unique style without formal art education, drawing inspiration from his early years and Newcastle’s local characters. After various jobs, he became a professional artist in 1988, gaining recognition through exhibitions across the UK.
